What should I bring to therapy?
Please bring the following to your appointment:
- Photo identification (valid driver’s license, valid state ID, school ID card, or valid passport)
- Prescription/doctor referral
- Insurance card
When should I arrive?
Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to complete all necessary paperwork and allow us to start therapy with you as soon as possible. To save time, please complete forms ahead of time so that we can you started even faster.
What should I wear?
Please wear comfortable clothing to therapy, such as athletic wear. Please do not wear jewelry on your hand or wrist.
What will my first appointment include?
Your first appointment will last approximately one hour and will include a comprehensive evaluation and a start to your treatment. Your therapist will review your medical history, tests and any recent events that may have contributed to your current condition and develop a treatment plan that meets your goals.
Your therapist will thoroughly explain your personalized treatment plan to you.
What will be the duration and frequency of treatment?
Duration and frequency of treatment are unique to each individual’s injury or condition and your therapist will discuss this with you during your first visit. HTP’s certified hand therapists and other staff members are dedicated to helping our patients reach their therapy goals as soon and as inexpensively as possible.
When my doctor recommends therapy, do I have a choice in providers?
Yes, you do have a choice when selecting your therapist. We encourage you to explore all your options, and when you do, we are confident that HTP will exceed your expectations. How do I verify insurance coverage and network benefits?
We accept virtually all major insurance carriers and participate with many local provider networks. Insurance benefits are verified prior to the start of treatment and individualized payment plans are available to those without coverage.

How much does therapy cost?
The cost of your therapy depends on your diagnosis, individual needs and insurance plan. We will verify and explain your insurance benefits and costs with you before beginning treatment to help ensure that your care is affordable.
